| This extender produces a high strength epoxy glue when mixed with the Epiglass HT9000 resin mix. Epiglass provides outstanding strength and durability under all conditions. The viscosity can be varied by the volume of the glue powder added. Glue powder should be added to filling and fairing mixes to improve trowelling and feathering properties and to prevent sagging. |

| Preparation |
For surface preparation advice, see HT9000 datasheet or alternatively the Epiglass Epoxy Resin Guide. Prepare surface thoroughly by sanding and wiping with Epiglass Epoxy Solvent. |
| Method |
GLUEING: Accurately measure Epiglass Epoxy Resin and Hardener, mix well. Prime the area with a coat of Epiglass resin mix. Blend in Epiglass HT110 and any low density fibres until the desired viscosity is achieved. The thicker the glue line, the thicker the glue viscosity required. Clamp and secure components as necessary. Do not overclamp or the joint will become starved of glue. Remove surplus before curing. Allow adequate curing before release of clamping pressure. JOINT DESIGN: 'Wet-out' must be monitored. Wet out is the ability of the resin to penetrate deeply into the surface, leaving enough glue to ensure maximum bond properties. Low density or open grain timbers may require a pre-coat of Epiglass to ensure an optimum bond. To allow fasteners to be removed at a later date, wipe with beeswax or a similar mould release material. For fillet bonding always ensure that all imperfections in the bond surfaces are filled prior to filleting. Sand and remove dust by wiping with Epiglass Epoxy Solvent before applying the fillet mixture. WOOD VENEER LAMINATION: Sand the wood surface and wipe with Epiglass Epoxy Solvent. Accurately measure Epiglass Epoxy Resin and Hardener, mix well. Prime the area with a coat of Epiglass resin mix. Add Epiglass HT110 to create the Epiglass glue mix. If desired, blend in some additional Filler Powder or Lightweight Fairing Powder to add bulk to the glue mix (up to 50% by volume). Spread the mix onto both surfaces and fix in the normal way (staples, clamps, wedges and jigs). Remove surplus before curing. Once cured, sand smooth and seal with Epiglass resin mix prior to finishing with a UV resistant varnish or an undercoat and topcoat finish. The above procedure is equally appropriate for laminating solid frames and large panel areas. |

| Hints |
Mixing Ensure that the Epiglass resin and hardener are thoroughly mixed before adding any extenders. Mix Ratio (by volume) : Adhesive Low Viscosity - HT110:HT9000 (mixed) - 1:1 . Adhesive High Viscosity - HT110:HT220:HT9000 (mixed) - 1:1:1 . Filler & Fairing Red - HT110:HT330:HT9000 (mixed) - 1:3:1 . Filling & Fairing White - HT110:HT440:HT9000 (mixed) - 1:3:1 . Precise measurement of extenders is not necessary when mixing. Add the extender until the mixture has developed the characteristics you require for the job. Further details on additives and their use can be found in the Epiglass Epoxy Resin Guide. Thinning Do not thin. Cleaner YTA901 Epiglass Epoxy Solvent Curing The total cure time varies depending on hardener used (fast, standard or slow), volume mixed, temperature and the shape of the mixing cup. |
| Some Important Points |
Do not apply below 10°C. Always ensure the resin and hardener have been carefully mixed at the correct 4:1 ratio by volume. Refer to HT9000 datasheet for application temperatures for specific hardener being used. |
| Compatibility/Substrates |
High strength glue for all substrates with the exception of PVC and polypropylene. For use with Epiglass HT9000 Epoxy Resin only. Does not increase the volume of the resin mix. Suitable for use when laminating and for fillet bonding. Suitable for repair and construction tasks. |

| Storage |
GENERAL INFORMATION: Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of Epiglass HT110 to be realised ensure that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/40°F and 35°C/95°F. Keep out of direct sunlight. TRANSPORTATION: Epiglass HT110 should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.
| Safety |
GENERAL: We strongly recommend the use of gloves, overalls and a protective mask to reduce the chance of inhalation of extender particles and prevent contact of the resin system with exposed skin. Read the label safety section for Health and Safety Information, also available from our Technical Help Line. DISPOSAL: Remainders of Epiglass HT110 cannot be disposed of through the municipal waste route or dumped without permit. Disposal of remainders must be arranged for in consultation with the authorities.
