| Preparation |
GRP: Wipe down surface after sanding, using several clean cloths to ensure all contaminants are removed. For interior gelcoat the surface must be thoroughly degreased before sanding (to remove the wax layer) and after. WOOD: Remove all sanding dust and wipe with Epiglass Epoxy Solvent before any job. When sealing wood with Epiglass HT9000, dilute 100% with Epiglass Epoxy Solvent to saturate the substrate. Subsequent coats should be applied with the thinner content reduced to 50% and 25% respectively. Sealer should be used on all structural wood work and planking. Ensure diluted layers are fully cured to allow the solvent to evaporate. Full saturation should be achieved by the fourth (unthinned) application. METAL: Wipe the surface with Epiglass Epoxy Solvent before priming. Use several clean cloths. |
